"Self-isolation, disease risk and other prevention measures are stressful for most people. Using effective mechanisms to deal with stress has a positive effect on our mental and physical health, as well as on the health of our loved ones.
Exercise directly affects physical health and has numerous benefits for the human body.
More important, though less known, is the psychological benefit of physical activity, especially aerobic exercise, such as running. Exercise lifts mood, improves cognitive functions and self-esteem, and especially important in crisis situations is the connection between exercise and reduced depression, sadness and stress."
In 1994, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated, "Compared to other unhealthy habits, physical inactivity significantly increases the risk of disease."
The Klix running school is intended for beginners and recreational runners who want to improve their form and knowledge of running, and who will train in three separate groups.
The strategy of the School in 2021 is to adapt the work of the school to the needs of the community due to the consequences of the coronavirus through content that aims to:
1. Alleviating the psychological consequences of coronaviruses that occur due to social distance, uncertainty and increased grief.
2. Improving physical activity in people with low and good physical fitness.
This is planned to be achieved by introducing content against the negative impact of sadness and stress in the Klix Running School program in 2021 as well as a running exercise program, strength and running technique adapted to three levels of initial physical activity, including people with long periods of inactivity.
All components of the content of the school in 2021 would be implemented on a weekly basis. On a monthly basis, consultation sessions with experienced athletes and experts on all segments of physical activity are planned; nutrition, clothing training, supplementation, injuries and psychological preparation.
Applications for the School are already largely open and the first trainings are being held at Vilsonovo šetalište starting Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. The gathering is in front of the T-Panorama office building on Vilsonovo šetalište 10, where the NGO's premises are located, and where you can leave your belongings and change.
